K-OZ Middleweight Champion and WSOF Title Challenger Jesse Taylor on Western Australia's Cage Ban

k-oz-middlweight-championJesse "JT Money" Taylor's View on Western Australia's Cage Ban

"I think it's bull shit! Excuse my language but I think it's ridiculous because it helps MMA. That's what MMA is all about. People fall out of the ring, especially with the grappling and wrestling. It (The Cage)  kind of controls you, it ads a whole new element. It's like a whole new weapon. It's a whole new part of mixed martial arts. You take away the cage and people are going to fall out of the ring."

"Especially the wrestling and grappling. You get caught in the ropes! It's great for kickboxing and boxing but for mixed martial arts you for sure need a cage. With the cage, you can hold people there. You can beat people up there. It's a whole new element and I think you need it in MMA. I think because of the ban there is going to be alot more injuries in the ring. People are going to fall out. Your going to see in the fights, K-OZ is still going to be a great show but with the ring, guys are going to fall out. It's hard to ref a fight. Iv'e had a fight years back where I got caught in the ropes. That happens, you get caught in those ropes with the grappling element. So I think you definately need a cage."
